About me
Barbara Fitzgerald, MLIS, is the Manager of Collection Services at the Oak Park Public Library in Illinois, where she leads collection development, cataloging, and materials handling. With more than 15 years of experience in public libraries, her work focuses on evidence-based selection, inclusive collection building, and improving how materials are discovered through thoughtful curation and metadata. She is especially interested in helping publishers better understand how public libraries make collection and promotion decisions in ways that reflect community needs.
