About me
Christina Chatel has worked in education for 23 years, with 13 years spent as a school library media specialist at Boulan Park and Smith Middle Schools in Troy, Michigan. She currently serves as President-Elect of the Michigan Association for School Librarians and was honored as MASL’s School Librarian of the Year in 2025. Christina is also the co-founder of It’s Time for Young Teen Lit, a movement advocating for a new publishing category for readers ages 12–15.
